Front porch melodies and lyrics grown out of the rocky topsoil of Eastern Kentucky’s Appalachian Mountains intertwine Sundy Best’s roots into the songs they sing. They are storytellers, musicians, friends, and the impetus of the ‘kin folk movement’ that is organically connecting a strong music-loving family that believes in solid, real and relatable songs.

They are crowd rockers and party starters. The band’s visceral sound and incredible live shows have gained them a loyal following of dedicated fans from the hills and hollers of Appalachia, all the way to the bustling one way streets under downtown city lights across the south. There are mountains in their music- valleys of love lost and missing home, peaks of rowdy Saturday nights and the journey in between.

The guys have been friends since they were in elementary school. They both grew up singing in their church for fun while starring in high school sports in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. After college sports success for each, Kris in basketball, and Nick in football, the friendship continued in music as they began playing patio parties, restaurants and clubs, often playing 4-hour sets each night. Both prolific songwriters, they bring songs to each other and together create their own style and sound. In 2012 they decided to record some of these songs that they self-produced along with their friend and filmmaker Coleman Saunders, and independently released Door Without A Screen that year.

Rolling through the “Decade of Decadence” like a 50-ton freight train, iconic bands such as Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi and Poison (to mention only a few) made the 1980’s a musical era the likes of which we’re doubtful to see again. Millions upon millions of records were sold, and concert venues around the world sold out within seconds when these bands were announced as headliners…

In 2001, lamenting the heyday of hairbands, one Chicago band sought to rekindle the flame for these Gods of Rock by tapping into the nostalgic and undeniable energy of that bygone era. They called themselves Hairbanger’s Ball.

Born from a “what if?” scenario, Hairbanger’s Ball has entrenched themselves as one of the most sought after “80’s Hair Rock Tribute Bands” in the United States after years of performing sold out shows from coast to coast, all while exuding the same expert musicianship and flair for the theatrical as their idols. Now on the cusp of celebrating 23 years in existence, Hairbanger’s Ball has been a mainstay in music for longer than some of their celebrity counterparts, and routinely perform over 150 shows a year.

Whether you’re looking to bring back the memory of a favorite concert seen in 1985 or seeking a true-to-life representation of what a rock concert was like in the 80’s, Hairbanger’s Ball provides both the music and the mayhem for young and old alike, bundled together in a 6-piece, high octane lineup. Featuring powerful male and female lead vocals, some serious ax grinding and renditions of classic songs so much like the original you’d swear you’d gone back in time, Hairbanger’s Ball leaves nothing to be desired after seeing and listening to them live, and is why they’ve been named “Best Rock Band” in Chicago by their throngs of adoring fans.

According to an age-old cliché, getting knocked down ain’t what matters – it’s how you get up, and Sony Music Nashville’s Nate Smith knows firsthand. With a personal journey scarred by disaster, but defined by revival, he could have stayed down multiple times through life, and instead grew into something else entirely: A beacon of country-music hope.

Featuring a mix of gritty backwoods soul, rock ‘n’ roll swagger and velvet-thunder vocals, Smith is a Nashville artist with a unique connection to life’s inner tug of war. And with his first batch of major-label music, he’s aiming to tip the scales once and for all.

As a recent graduate from Indiana University, Hank Ruff has been building a name for himself throughout the state of Indiana while being in college. After his latest EP "Hellbender" went #1 on the iTunes all-genre chart, Ruff hopes to further this momentum by beginning to play all over the midwest and beyond. Now that he is finished with school and pursuing music full-time, Ruff has dreams to bring his more neo-traditional brand of country music all over the country.

Hank was born and raised in Southern Indiana, and has been playing country music around the state since the age of 11. Named after Hank Williams Sr., Ruff began playing the mandolin and playing at bluegrass jams, and eventually picking up the guitar and learning classic country songs like "Hey Good Lookin" and "Mama Tried". Ruff started playing with his dad's band, "The Dew Daddies", and soon after that he began writing songs with his dad by the time he was in high school. Most of Ruff's catalogue is comprised of songs that the two wrote together, including "If the Boot Fits". Filled with steel guitar and fiddle, these songs embody what Ruff and his music is all about: combining elements of the traditional country sound with modern influences, and bringing a little more of the classic elements of the distinctive country sound back into mainstream country music.

The West Coast is trademark for its raw-energy and free spirits. Few rep that mentality better than Smoakland’s Anthony Battaglia and Harrison Hays.

Raised in the Bay Area, the Dubstep duo met while attending Boise State University as student athletes. Both returned home following school, but a twist of fate reunified them to pursue their own renaissance through music. Anthony’s early production knowledge and Harry’s DJ acumen quickly made them a synced two-way team. In 2018, the two invoked their love for Bay Area weed and dubstep by forming Smoakland.

With over seven years of production under their belts, they strive to create their own distinct vein of nostalgic, “Old School” Dubstep. The result to date has brought listeners a unique sound design, fat bass, and rhythmic melodies. They’re inspirations range from contemporaries like Zeds dead, Eptic, & Mersiv; artists who become larger-than-life behind booming soundsystems.

While their support and buzz are undeniable, the duo’s mindset is what truly previews their music and journey’s transcendence.

Fast-rising Country singer/songwriter Jackson Dean is quickly earning a reputation for his old school, gritty, lyric-driven, outlaw style of Country following a breakout year that landed him on Pandora’s Ten for 2023 (all genre), Spotify’s Hot Country Artists to Watch 2023, the CMT Listen Up class of 2023, CRS New Faces 2023, Amazon Music’s 2023 Breakthrough Artists to Watch: Country Class as well as a slew of other artist to watch lists. Mature beyond his years, Jackson opted to move out to a cinderblock, concrete floor, one-room shack on the back of his grandfather’s property with no heat and no plumbing at just 18 years old. An adventurous and carefree spirit, the 22-year-old multi-instrumentalist, is also an old soul and skilled artisan whose pastimes include making leather goods, wood-burned art and disappearing into the woods to sleep under the stars. Bringing that same sense of adventure and down home vibe to his songwriting, the “modern-day Country rambler” (Taste of Country) burst on the scene, showing people how real music can be with his atmospheric, musically-forward debut album Greenbroke (out now via Big Machine Records). The Maryland native’s single, “Don’t Come Lookin’” was the fastest debut to reach No. 1 in 2022 and cemented Jackson as the youngest solo male Country artist to reach the top of the charts with a debut. Landing spots on the Billboard Hot 100, the soundtrack for Netflix’s The Ice Road and a John Dutton scene in Yellowstone.

His sophomore single, “Fearless (The Echo)” is currently climbing the Country radio charts after being Most Added upon impact. Following an early career of local performances in his hometown, Jackson has joined bills with superstar acts like Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brantley Gilbert, Kane Brown, Jake Owen, Brooks & Dunn, Lee Brice, HARDY and Brothers Osborne and found himself on the bill for credible events like Austin City Limits and Stagecoach. The young talent just kicked off the Back to the Honky Tonk Tour with Blake Shelton and Carly Pearce and will join dates with Eric Church and Parker McCollum later this year.

In 1986 the Navejas family settled in the city of Fresnillo, Zacatecas; With the passage of time, music ceased to be a hobby to become his great passion. When Luis Humberto was in high school, he formed the band "Los 4 Fantásticos" together with his now teammates in Enjambre Ángel Sánchez and his brother Rafa Navejas, it was not It was not until 2001 that they formed Enjambre, whose lineup was made up of Luis Humberto, Rafa, Osamu and Nico, and for some time he was part of the Pastilla lineup. His musical taste is so varied that he listens to everything from The Rolling Stones and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Sandro de América or Los Cadetes de Linares; As the composer of most of Enjambre's songs, he always tries to keep them in rhyme, since according to him "he doesn't have such a rich vocabulary and it's less complicated"; He is color blind, his favorite movies are "Metropolis" and "A clockwork orange", he is always aware of all the visual art that surrounds the band, from the design of the album covers to the themes for the videos, his voice and his movements have an air of nostalgia and the rock of the good times, all this together with his great simplicity have placed him as one of the spoiled vocalists within the Mexican music scene.

Kylie Morgan has quickly proven herself to be a relatable storyteller and an engaging live performer. The Oklahoma native is known for baring her soul in her confessional lyrics and leaving her heart on the stage, whether she’s headlining her own tour or supporting acts like Old Dominion. In doing so, she makes her listeners feel less alone.

While Kylie began writing songs at a young age, it wasn’t until her grandfather bought her a pink acoustic guitar for Christmas that it all came together.

“I got my first guitar and it just clicked: Here’s where a verse goes, here’s where the chorus goes,” she says of her early songs around age 12. “It actually started to make sense for me, and you couldn’t get me out of my room writing songs.”

She has since spent the past 14 years honing her craft in the writing room and on the stage. Kylie vividly recalls first sharing a microphone with her grandfather at a young age while singing Elvis Presley’s “That’s All Right.” At 14, she set out on the open road and began touring full-time and hasn’t slowed down since. In August 2022 she made her Grand Ole Opry debut and less than a year later wrapped her first-ever headlining tour. Kylie also performed a career-defining set at Nissan Stadium at CMA Fest 2022 and joined Old Dominion for her first arena trek as part of the band’s No Bad Vibes Tour.

Shortly after she was taught her first chords on guitar, Kylie told her parents she was going to skip college and move to Nashville to be a country artist. By 15, the young artist was traveling back and forth to Nashville to write with anyone she could. One of her earliest co-writes and believers was Walker Hayes.

“He became one of my core mentors and influences,” Kylie says of Walker, whose partnership led to her management and publishing deals with SMACKSongs. “I started going back and forth and realizing what I wanted to say as an artist and who I wanted to be.”

One of those early songs was “Phoebe,” a poignant ballad about a girl who committed suicide at 15, the same age Kylie was when she penned the track with Rob Crosby and Liz Hengber. Soon, she was touring schools across the country to perform and talk about bullying. She eventually launched her own bullying prevention campaign titled It Matters What We Do after a lyric in the song.

The more confessional she wrote, the more Kylie saw listeners latch onto her music. After being told her song “Independent With You” was too personal to be released, the singer-songwriter decided to post the demo on TikTok. She woke up the next day to one million views and countless comments about the song’s relatability. Kylie’s music has since amassed nearly 400 million streams.

“That’s what gave me the courage to be even more vulnerable in my music and instead of being bright and shiny, I wanted to be open and real,” she says of the success of “Independent With You,” featured on her 2022 EP P.S. “I’m going to continue to grow, continue to discover new things about myself, and continue to reach the people that I feel like I need to say things to that they feel but don’t know how to say.”

It’s this philosophy that Kylie embraced when writing her debut album, Making It Up As I Go, available October 13. The EMI Records Nashville recording artist wrote or co-wrote each of the project’s 12 tracks. She describes it as an album for the “in-betweeners.” Specifically, for “the ones who pretend to have it all figured out but are still finding out where they want to go, who they want to be, and how to get there.” Fan-favorite songs like the introspective “A Few Hearts Ago” and the CMT Music Awards-nominated “If He Wanted To He Would” set the stage for Kylie’s major label debut full-length.

She says writing “Making It Up As I Go” helped inform the direction of the album. Getting older don’t make you wiser/ It’s the heartbreaks along the way/ Some prayers don’t get answered until you look back someday, Kylie sings on the anthemic title track.

“Once we wrote that song, I was like, ‘I think this is the perfect name for the project,’” the singer recalls. “Whether I’m in my 20s or my 60s, I will still be making it up as I go and I think that a lot of us can relate to that.”

Other songs, like the confessional solo write “Quarter Life Crisis,” have Kylie looking deep into herself and her dream profession. Here we are at 25/ Did I spend it well, did I do it right?/ Maybe I’ll just flip a coin/ And figure it out in the next dime, she nostalgically sings on the bridge of the song.

Written in a lonely hotel room while on a radio tour for the first time, “Quarter Life Crisis” has the singer questioning her career and everything that has led her to this point.

“I was living my dream, but I couldn’t have felt more alone in that moment,” she says. “The closer you get to your dream, sometimes the further you get from yourself, and that’s how it felt. … The whole album definitely contributes to the idea of transitioning and, instead of always wanting something more, which we all do, we have to be thankful for the present moment and the in-between.”

Peppered throughout her confessional and more reflective tracks, Kylie shares countless anthems of female empowerment. Triumphant numbers like “Ladies First,” the clever tongue-in-cheek “Sugar Daddy” and the debut radio single “If He Wanted To He Would” paint strong women as the lead characters in the songs. It ain’t selfish to love yourself / It’s one thing we could all use a little more help with, Kylie stresses on “Ladies First.”

Meanwhile, other songs, like the emotive “Class Rings” and autobiographical album closer “Old Me” see Kylie recalling past traumas with the wisdom of an older sister looking out for her younger self. Dear old me, the new you turns out okay, she promises herself on “Old Me.” The song serves as a self-penned letter she reads aloud to herself, and in turn a letter for the listener.

“I hope that people hear this album and they self-reflect, and love themselves in the current state they’re in,” Kylie says. “When I’m writing a song, I’m also thinking about the music video in my head. I hope people see themselves visually when they hear this album.”

Kylie’s wish is that listeners see themselves within the songs on Making It Up As I Go and that the album serves as the soundtrack to their journey. Along the way, she hopes they find the words that they may not know how to say through the music. ’Cause if we’re all being honest…we’re just making it up as we go.

Guitar in hand and mic turned up loud, the tunes do the talking for Tanner Usrey. The Texas-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist pairs straight shooting storytelling with country grit, rock ‘n’ roll energy, and Americana eloquence. As such, he channels a classic spirit from a personal perspective. After piling up tens of millions of streams, packing hundreds of shows, and landing syncs on the likes of Yellowstone, he bares it all on a series of 2023 singles for Atlantic Records and much more to come.

“I let the songs be what they’re going to be, and I pride myself on that,” he notes. “Musically, it ranges from southern rock to country to Americana. When it comes to songwriting, I want to focus on what’s real – I don’t shy away from saying the hard things.”

Growing up in the small town of Prosper, TX, he gravitated towards music as a little kid. By five-years-old, he constantly belted out Alan Jackson songs around the house much to his family’s chagrin. “Everyone used to tell me to shut up,” he laughs. “I was the kid who sang all the time.”

After catching Wade Bowen and Brandon Rhyder in concert, his destiny crystallized in high school. “I remember saying to myself, ‘That’s what I want to do’,” he recalls. “That’s what led me to picking up a guitar.”

Inspired by everyone from George Strait, Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Rolling Stones to his favorite band Whiskey Myers, he wrote countless songs and cut his teeth at gigs anywhere with a stage. In between holding down a job as a skip tracer, he carefully honed his signature style. Quitting his job in 2019, he unveiled the Medicine Man EP. “Come Back Down” generated 19.1 million Spotify streams followed by “Beautiful Lies” with 18 million Spotify streams. During 2021, he tirelessly gigged in between releasing the SÕL Sessions EP. “The Light” also notably soundtracked the finale of Yellowstone Season 4. Along the way, he cemented himself as an electrifying and energetic live presence with over 180 shows in 2022.

“When we’re on stage, our goal is to have the audience clinging to the edge of their seats,” he shares. “I get to play with a bunch of badasses, and I don’t take it for granted. We pounded the pavement and put at least 100K miles on the van in a year-and-a-half.”

Signing to Atlantic Records, he kickstarted 2023 with “Take Me Home,” cracking 10 million streams and counting. On its heels, the single “Give It Some Time” threads together dusty acoustic guitar and unfiltered lyrics as he pleads, “Give me something to believe in, baby, because I’ve been losing my mind.” Against an organ-laden beat, it builds towards an emotionally charged guitar solo that’s as scorching as his delivery is.

Ultimately, Tanner’s music might just say everything you need.

“I hope you hear what you want to hear, enjoy it, resonate with it, and know it’s real,” he leaves off. “It’s been a wild ride. I’ve busted my ass. I started off doing all of this on my own, so it’s crazy to see how this and the team around me have grown. People are going after real music right now, and that’s great. I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes next.”

Donahew has released eight independent albums to critical and commercial acclaim. Donahew’s STANDOFF, quickly topped the iTunes Country Chart at #1, upon its release, and his follow-up album ALL NIGHT PARTY, out on August 19, 2016, immediately rocketed to #3 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart, #13 on the Top Album Sales Chart and Top Current Album Sales Chart and #40 on the Billboard 200 Chart. A staple in the Texas music scene since forming in 2006 at Lubbock's Texas Tech University. Josh Abbott Band has weathered many storms together including divorces, burying their fathers, the Route 91 Harvets shooting and a pnademic. Country fans have been singing JAB songs for more than a decade already. The seven piece group's relentless on stage attitude quickly made it a successful touring act, building out from a Texas band to a regional act to a national crew with a devout following from coast to coast. Concurrently, JAB developed its own label, Pretty Damn Tough Records, before that was an accepted practice in country circles. Two of their projects, Small Town Family Dream and Front Row Seat, scored top 10 debuts on the Billboard country album chart, while five titles cracked the Billboard country singles lists, including a pair - "Oh Tonight" with Kacey Musgraves, and "Wasn't That Drunk" with Carly Pearce, that represented their first chart appearances. Led by the true to life cycles in Abbott's life, Abbott ambitiously documented the dissolution of first marriage in Front Row Seat. And the expansive Until My Voice Goes Out, recorded as Abbott tended to an ailing father, mixed with elegant strings and a Memphis tipped horn sound. In 2020 JAB released their 6th studio album The Highway Kind, the band's follow up to 2017's string and horn infused Until My Voice Goes Out, the uplifting 10 track album ws recorded at Sonic Ranche in El Paso and was produced by Marshall Altman (Marc Broussard, Frankie Ballard, Aaron Watson).

Sam Barber was raised on a farm in a small town in Southeast Missouri surrounded by a supportive family and an abundance of friends. Most of his childhood was devoted to athletics where he learned many lessons such as the importance of a team, practice, discipline, respect and hard work. Music has not always been his passion and as a child, he never participated in music class or music performances. Sam's music journey has been completely unplanned and his success continues to astound him. When he was 16, Sam picked up his great grandfather's Gibson, out of tune with 5 strings and fell in love with the art of playing. He soon learned that he also had the God-given talent to sing along. Sam's vision is to continue to grow and become stronger as a vocalist and songwriter. He wants to deliver songs that people feel in their soul. Above all, he wants to stay true to his faith, the man he truly is, and the type of music he wants to make without boundaries or conforming.

Since releasing Straight and Narrow in November 2022 Sam's social reach has soared past a million followers and garnered over 4.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Sam has hit the Global viral charts and reached #1 in UK, Aus, Ire and more.

Oklahoma native, Josh Meloy recently released his new record “Oklahoma” in May of 2020. The record consists of a collection of songs written over the past 5 years. Meloy considers this his “best and most honest work to date”. Meloy recorded and produced the album at home giving it an undeniably authentic sound. Meloy didn’t plan on playing music in the beginning. In a family with strong ties to music, he chose sports. It wasn’t until attending Oklahoma State University at the age of 19 that he first picked up a guitar. Meloy, now 26, has since matured as a musician and songwriter while earning a strong fan base touring the Oklahoma/Texas region.

The American south isn't just Brent Cobb's home. It's his muse, too. A Georgia native, he fills his Grammy-nominated songwriting with the sounds and stories of an area that's been home to southern rockers, soul singers, country legends, and bluesmen. Cobb has a name for that rich tapestry of music — ""southern eclectic"" — and he offers up his own version of it with his newest album, Southern Star.

Filled with country-soul songwriting, laid back grooves, and classic storytelling, Southern Star distills the best parts of southern culture into 10 of the strongest songs in Cobb's catalog. He began writing the material after leaving Nashville — where he spent a decade releasing solo records like 2016's Shine On Rainy Day (which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album) while penning hit songs for Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, and dozens of others — and returning with his family to Georgia.

During the months leading up to Southern Star's release, Cobb spent much of his time on the road, playing to stadium crowds of 60,000 people as Luke Combs' opening act. Perhaps that's why Southern Star feels so well-timed. Not only is it a snapshot of an artist at the peak of his songwriting abilities; it's also a love letter to his southern roots, made all the more potent by his recent travels.

With Brent Cobb, the southern star shines on.

BRELAND is a paradox. The Jersey-born-and-raised, feel-good creative force is perhaps the most unlikely and predestined breakout Country star on today’s horizon, where he defines and defies labels by embracing all kinds of music with an exuberance that’s blinding. Employing a strong wash of modern Pop, the double Georgetown Business/Marketing degree’d music obsessive offers the shimmer of Bruno Mars, the slink of Luther Vandross, Drake or Teddy Pendergrass and a couple handfuls of old school dirt floor Southern Gospel interjected into his positive vibe take on modern living and Country music.

“Joy is a lifestyle and a decision,” explains the PLATINUM-certified artist. “To me, people often mistake happiness for it. But joy comes with purpose; it’s exchanging energy, a driver. Joy’s as contagious as anything; when someone’s walking with it, it rubs off on everyone around them. Music does that, too…”

For nearly 25 years, Reckless Kelly has graced the musical landscape with a high-powered form of Americana, equally rooted in raw passion, refined musicianship, and gritty authenticity. With the dual release of two new albums—American Jackpot and American Girls—the Idaho-bred band presents a beautifully detailed portrait of their beloved country, turning their nuanced songwriting to its many glories and tragedies. While one batch of songs centers on slice-of-life storytelling and the other explores the complexities of human connection, the collective body of work unfolds with a profound and often eye-opening attention to the subtleties of American life. Although Reckless Kelly initially intended to make just one album, the project took on a life of its own once they headed into the studio. “I wanted to produce this one by myself, just to try that out, and I made sure to book plenty of studio time to get it done right,” says Willy. “We ended up moving along really fast, so I pulled out a few more songs and figured we’d end up using them down the road. Before we knew it, we had enough material for two really good records.” Though the two brothers first forged their musical partnership back in Idaho, they later decamped to Bend, Oregon, where they quickly linked up with Jay Nazz. Soon after forming Reckless Kelly (whose name nods to the legend of Australian highwayman Ned Kelly), the three musicians relocated to Austin and rounded out the lineup with bassist Joe Miller and guitarist David Abeyta (who exited the band after the release of Sunset Motel). Over the years, they’ve delivered a string of critically lauded albums, including 2011’s Grammy-nominated Good Luck & True Love and 2013’s Grammy-winning Long Night Moon. With the release of American Jackpot and American Girls, Reckless Kelly hopes to lead listeners to thoughtful reflection on their own experience of living in America, and possibly invite a certain purposeful nostalgia. Mostly I just hope these songs remind them of all the different aspects of growing up in America, and feeling so lucky to live here,” says Willy Braun.
