EZ Band blends traditional Norteño roots with modern influences to create an energetic, bilingual sound that connects audiences across cultures. The band’s story began with Agustin, who performed music on buses across Mexico alongside accordionist Nacho, sharing songs with passengers while earning a living. After learning the bajosexto from Atilano Ochoa of Los Montañeses del Alamo at age 17, Agustin passed his deep love of music down to his family—laying the foundation for what would become EZ Band.
Originally formed as Viento Norteño by Agustin, Jaime’s uncle Niko, and Kiko, the group evolved through different members and styles, later becoming Rebelde Norteño and eventually Enzzamble before taking on the name EZ Band. Throughout this journey, bandleader Jaime developed as a multi-instrumentalist, playing everything from drums and bass to accordion and bajosexto. Growing up in the United States while immersed in traditional Norteño music helped shape the band’s unique blend of cultural influences.
Today, EZ Band is known for its high-energy performances and signature Spanglish covers that merge Norteño, Cumbia, and pop influences. Their innovative approach bridges English and Spanish music, creating a nostalgic yet modern sound that resonates with diverse audiences.
The band has built a dedicated global following with viral videos across social media and performances at major events including an MLS halftime show and the Miller Theatre. They’ve also been featured in outlets such as The New York Times, NPR, and Univision.
With electrifying live shows and a mission to celebrate bilingual music and culture, EZ Band continues to bring people together through the universal language of music.
